Inspiration: Living for the city — the collection draws inspiration from the streets of Barcelona and pulls its urban, free-spirited personality through to embody the cool confidence of its city girls.

What We Thought:

Desigual Spring/Summer 2016 brought its vibrant personality back to NYFW with electric colors and eclectic layering. Bold prints played well with sophisticated sneakers, an ode to the authentic cosmopolitan woman of Barcelona. The collection was nothing short of vivid both in color and cut, with the mixing and matching of denim patchwork, shiny crop tops, draped accessories, and larger-than-life pieces that looked like quite the balancing act in some cases.

And yes… a selfie stick made an appearance on the runway too.

Overall, when the looks are broken down into individual pieces playfully styled together, we actually thought this collection to be on the tamer side for Desigual. Now where can we get those headphones?
