#NYFW Backstage Beauty Report: Charlotte Ronson SS 2015
Behind the scenes for Charlotte Ronson Spring/Summer 2015, all eyes were on the airy, rosy looks being created on the models by key makeup artist Dani Fonseca for TEMPTU. Charlotte Ronson SS 2015 is inspired by daydreams, watercolors, and whimsy. Accordingly, Fonseca (who was sporting Google Glass while working – you go girl!) focused on designing a washed rose tonal look with subtle hints of shimmer to match the radiance of the clothes.
To get the girls ready for the show, Fonseca kept the makeup minimal, using the same watercolor rose shade on eyes, lips, and cheeks.
FACE: Fonseca applied TEMPTU Base & Matte Primer, blending outward, followed up with a light layer of TEMPTU AIRpod Foundation to achieve the fresh, flawless complexion of the models. On the T-zone, Invisible Difference Power was used to create a soft focus and matte finish.
EYES: TEMPTU AIRpod Blush in Washed Rose created a soft shadowing on the lid of the eye.
CHEEKS: TEMPTU AIRpod Highlighter in Pink Pearl was applied into the inner corner of the eye, the “C” contour of the eye area, and underneath the brow bone.
LIPS: Fonseca airbrushed TEMPTU AIRpod Blush in Washed Rose onto the lips in a sheer layer for a dreamlike wash.
The backstage scene was also bumpin’ with stellar skincare prep, thanks to Skyn Iceland, whose mess-free masks were used to prep the pretty faces of Charlotte Ronson SS 2015. It was all hands on deck, with Miss Pop for OPI doing an alternating half moon design on nails while UK session stylist Stephanie Hayes (for Batiste) took the lead on hairstyling.
We also chatted with Emma Robinson from Silk’n, one of the sponsors. In a case of perfect timing, the brand’s latest innovation called Revit launched on September 5th (day of show for Charlotte Ronson). Revit is a Diamond Peeling Microdermabrasion system that we excitedly tested while backstage – and unlike some regimens under similar “diamond peel” titles or other high-tech beauty tools, it felt so gentle… even soothing. It combines microdermabrasion exfoliation with vacuum stimulation, and at a retail price of $129.00, it can equip you to reduce the appearance of age spots, acne scars, and fine lines in the comfort of your own home. If there’s an option that is cheaper and less of a hassle than going to get office treatments, we’re all for it!
Take a look at the shots we caught of the backstage beauty pros in action.
