About Last Night Pharrell Celebrates Partnership with Artist Daniel Arsham
There are some celebrities who attend press events flanked by bevy security guards and an equally massive entourage, and then there are celebrities like musician Pharrell Williams. Last night, whose list of musical credits are numerous and rather impressive, Pharrell mingled with guests at the Standard East Village sans entourage, posed with fans, and signed books. Williams was on hand to celebrate his partnership with artist Daniel Arsham. The event naturally included a mélange of artists, musicians and fashion types and featured a unique art experience; guests in attendance, not only got a first sneak peek at the first sculptural collaboration between Arsham and Pharrell but also got an opportunity to handle the objects including an Arsham piece. The pieces–created from replications of Pharrell’s keyboard and drum machine— were obviously the major hit. Guests lined to handle the specialty designed keyboard.
In attendance at the soirée were Daniel Arsham and Pharrell Williams were joined by guests such as Brian Donnelly – AKA KAWS, Julia Chiang, Laure Debreuil, Terry Richardson, Andre Balazs, Richard Chai, Jeffrey Deitch, Q-Tip, Prince Philippos of Greece, Hanneli Ruppert, Felix Burrichter, Jennifer Missoni, Miraslova Duma, Luenell, Claire Mossier, Genevieve Jones, Helen Toomer, Emily Weiss, Sarah Lerfel, Alphan Eseli, Nicola Vassell, Gianni Jetzer, Peggy Leboeuf, Brett Littman, Jessica White, Tristan Wilds, Gabi Asfour, Pippa Cohen, Cheryl Dunn, Jamie Baratta, Phillip Bloch, Lisalla Montenegro, James Goldstein, Noemi Fer, Mia Moretti, Nicole Nadeau, Demet Muftuoglu, Ryder Ripps, Ryan McGinness, Michael Avedon, Rashaad Newsome, and Jose Parla. The evening also featured libations Corzo Tequila and glorious views of the city.
