#NYFW: Mara Hoffman Spring 2014
Show: Mara Hoffman Spring 2014
Inspiration: Spring 2014 drew influence from color, light, and hapiness, looking at different cultures and cosmic spaces through a prism of color. Embrace the rainbow.
Hair: Nick Irwin for Catwalk by TIGI; Makeup: Alice Lane for Maybelline New York; Nails: Honey for Maybelline
What We Thought:
The designer paved the runway as her own rainbow road, sending look after look down the catwalk that whimsically incorporated fun prints and a full ROYGBIV palette. Hoffman certainly brought her A-game with breathing life into a variety of materials (from chiffon to cotton) with powerful motifs like the Third Eye.
Among our favorites were the tiered chiffon dress in Iris Blue with a beaded rainbow serpent belt, beyond colorful intarsia poncho sweater paired with a “Jungle Trip White” mini dress, and beaded rainbow open back gown.
In Hoffman’s own words (for a digital generation), #FEARLESS #RAINBOW #VIBES. Check out the collection with photos by Yannis Vlamos/InDigitalImages.com.
