Stars Come Out to Celebrate Brian Atwood
Last night, one guest remarked “this feels like a high school reunion,” as June Ambrose wearing a white top and shorts paired with a top hat carelessly greeted (with an air kiss of course) an equally stylish woman wearing a sparkly dress paired with stunning Brian Atwood heels; the very same space where moments earlier, and with flashing lights seemingly unnoticed, Heidi Klum chatted with stylist Mary Alice Stephenson.
This of course was not your typical high school reunion. This in fact was a star studded affair, to celebrate Brian Atwood’s Fifth Avenue store and debut of his very racy fall print and video campaign series Sex is in the Heel which is a fashion film that tells the story of the modern woman’s desire for fantasy and control. Obviously giving his strong celeb following some of fashion’s industry most popular kids (and by some we mean all) came out to toast the designer.
At the soiree one did not go hungry as there were several food stations serving signature dishes from the famed restaurant; One also did not experience dehydration, with four signature cocktails–Maniac, The Sex is in The Heel, Midnight Purple, and The Atwood— for the evening featuring DeLeon Tequilla it was impossible to go without a drink. And, of course one did not suffer from boredom because there was just so much to see.
For starters upon arrival we spotted Estelle, Gabrielle Union and Michelle Trachtenberg grooving to Mick Boogie signature musical set. As we made our way further inside but not before bumping into Iman and making minor conservation, we heard rumblings that Ryan Lochte was in the building; and as luck would have it just a few moments later we saw Lochte with a wide smiled surrounded by a group of women. As we continued our survey of the room, we spotted the Hilton sisters making the rounds. The evening continue in that sort one celeb after the other. We however, despite seeing some of our favorite people still sad to have missed Kim Kardashian–there’s always next time right?
