TGIF Cocktail Recipe of the Day: Summer’s Last Hurrah

The upcoming Labor Day Weekend is not only a three work-day weekend but it also means that its time for the official end of summer. As a celebration, lets toast once more to summer dresses, long days, and cool weather as we prepare for fall. Here are some cocktails to get you started.

Lake Sunset Lemonade

2 parts Pinnacle® Original Vodka
1½ parts lemonade
1 part club soda
2 tablespoons of diced fresh strawberries
½ part pomegranate juice
Mint sprig or lemon wheel for garnish

Direction:Place fruit in the bottom of your drinking glass and then fill glass to the top with crushed ice. Add Pinnacle® Original Vodka, lemonade and club soda. Top with pomegranate juice. Garnish with a mint sprig or lemon wheel.

Blueberry Cooler
2 parts Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila
1 part Tres Agaves Agave Nectar
12-15 blueberries
1 lime squeezed
1-2 parts filtered water
A couple sprigs of basil

Directions: Muddle blueberries and basil with Tres Agaves Tequila. Add remaining ingredients. Shake with ice and serve over fresh ice (Do not strain). Garnish with basil leaf float

Peach Lemonade Punch

750 ml (1 bottle) NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin
2.25 L Lemonade
187 ml Elderflower Liqueur
2 Bags Frozen Peaches

Directions: Mix all ingredients in an infusion jar and stir. Serve over ice in a highball glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Peach Lemonade Punch

750 ml (1 bottle) NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin
2.25 L Lemonade
187 ml Elderflower Liqueur
2 Bags Frozen Peaches

Directions: Mix all ingredients in an infusion jar and stir.Serve over ice in a highball glass.Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Pacifico Broken Hammock

1 Pacifico®
2 oz. Casa Noble Crystal Tequila
.5 oz. Lemon Juice
.5 oz. Lime Juice
.5 oz. Agave Nectar
Jalapeno slice
Lime wedge

Directions: Combine all ingredients but beer in a shaker with ice, Shake until chilled. Straing into a glass, add ice and top with Pacifico, Garnish with a wedge of lime.

Brockmans Berry Fresh

2 oz. Brockmans gin
1 oz. Lejay Lagoute Triple Sec
0.75 oz. Lemon juice
1 oz. Cranberry juice
1 bar spoon of Allspice Dram

Directions: Shake all ingredients together in an ice-filled cocktail shaker; strain into a tumbler of crushed ice layered with frozen winter berries then top with a little more crushed ice. Garnish with a few more frozen winter berries.

Shake to the Beet

1 1/2 oz of VIVA XXXII Joven
1 oz Fresh Squeezed Beet juice
3/4 oz Ginger Syrup
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/4 Simple Syrup

Directions: Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into Nick & Nora Glass

The Secret Garden

The Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.
Fresh Lemon Juice - .75 oz.
Elderflower Liqueur - .75 oz.
Sparkling Rosé – 1.5 oz.

Directions: Combine The Botanist Gin, Fresh Lemon Juice and Elderflower Liqueur in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into a Flute Glass. Top with Sparkling Rosé. Garnish with a lemon peel.

Side Car

1 ½ parts Courvoisier® VS Cognac
¾ parts DeKuyper® Triple Sec
¾ parts lemon juice
Sugar for garnish

Directions: Pour ingredients in a shaker, add ice, shake and fine strain into glass. Garnish with a sugar rim on ½ glass.

Patron Reposado Tiki Rita

2 oz Patrón Reposado
.5 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
.5 oz Fresh lime juice
.5 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
.25 oz Vanilla syrup
.25 oz Allspice Dram
Grated nutmeg for garnish
Lime wheel and cloves for garnish
Hawaiian sea salt rim

Directions: Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill. Strain onto fresh crushed ice in a Tiki glass that has been rimmed with Hawaiian sea salt. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and a lime wheel pierced with 3 cloves.
