What’s Happening in the Hamptons this Weekend (8/15-8/17)
Here’s the rundown of what’s happening this weekend in the Hamptons.
On Saturday, the 3rd annual fundraiser for (The Breast Cancer Research Foundation) BCRF will host a two part event. One is a multi-skill level paddle boarding race open to the public, and the other is INVITATION ONLY benefit party co-hosted by prominent New Yorkers Lisa and Richard Perry and full-time Hampton residents Maria and Larry Baum.
The 66th Annual East Hampton Artists & Writers Celebrity Softball Game will go down on Saturday. A team of writers compete against a team of artists in a time-honored softball rivalry to benefit East End charities including Eleanor Whitman Early Childhood Center, Phoenix House, East End Hospice and the Retreat among others. 8/16
The 5th Annual Apollo in the Hamptons Gala is also happening this weekend. The event will benefit the organization’s education, community and artistic programs; and featuring musical performances by Sting among others, under the artistic direction of Pharrell Williams. 8/16
Kelly Rutherford and Patrice Lenowitz, founders of The Children’s Justice Campaign (CJC), will host the organization’s Inaugural Benefit. Christie Brinkley, Lauren London, Mashonda Tifrere and Samantha Yanks will co-host the event. Henry Hall will provide the evening’s entertainment.
