The newest shampoo/conditioner duo from Drybar has arrived! Named “On the Rocks,” the star of the show as far as ingredients go is the very on-trend activated charcoal. Each product is cleverly packaged in a bottle that is reminiscent of something on the stronger side (whiskey + bitters, perhaps?) and includes a “DB Distillery” imprint.

So why all the fuss about charcoal? Fun fact: charcoal absorbs 100-200 times its weight in impurities — wow. As part of the On the Rocks Clarifying Charcoal Shampoo, this powerful ingredient helps to treat hair with TLC all while clearing away traces of product/debris and natural oil buildup from the hair. A beautiful blowout and dirty/oily hair obviously don’t go together. Follow the shampoo with the On the Rocks Lightweight Replenishing Conditioner to soften hair and create that fresh blowout look, thanks to the inclusion of coriander in the formula (it helps to smooth the hair cuticle and amp up the shine factor). The scent for both products is a mix of minty and woodsy, or in brand-speak, “sensual woods.”
