Shopaholics at OCRF’s Super Saturday Raised $3.5 Million
The 17th year some of Hampton’s most stylish bargain hunters gathered at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill, this past Saturday, for a day of shopping or rather garage shopping benefiting the for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. This year’s Super Saturday raised a whopping $3.5 million from sales that came from 200 prominent brands including INTERMIX, Vince, IRO, Alexis Bittar, Bonpoint, Haute Hippie, Nanette Lepore, Milly, Theory, ElieTahari, Diane von Furstenberg, alice + olivia, Scoop NYC, Vilebrequin, J Brand and Helmut Lang.
What’s more for the seventh consecutive year, the “Designers A to Zoe” booth by Rachel Zoe featured a compilation of pieces from her favorite luxury designers including Etro, J. Mendel, Oscar De La Renta, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler and Stella McCartney. And, not to be outdone Decades founder Cameron Silver curated “Cameron’s Corner,” a mix of vintage and modern pre-loved clothing and accessories, much to our delight.
While the day was catered for the shopaholics, there were also plenty of activities for the “window shoppers” and the kids alike. For instance, kids (and some adults) enjoyed a carnival like experience complete with a slide, a ferris wheel, and delicious treats including corn on the cop, ice cream and sorbet, and so much more activities. There was also Priv’s Braid Bar, which offered fresh summer hairstyles and enjoyed psychic readings with Betsy Wahmann. And, no event is complete without a proper photobooth. Super Saturday guests took selfies on the Rolls-Royce branded photo booth.
In attendance were hosts Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan along with Gayle King, Rachel Zoe, June Ambrose, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin along with their new baby, Kathy Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Lisa Rinna, Beth Stern and a slew of other influencers.
