Macy’s Bar III to Offer Shoes Starting August
Macy’s private label Bar III (yes, there’s such a thing seriously) is changing the game for shoe lovers. The label, starting this fall will offer shoes for women. “We’re excited that the bar III customer can now dress in our brand from head to toe,” explain Nancy Slavin, SVP Marketing at MMG on the decision to grow the label. “The shoe collection is the perfect complement to our collection of ‘wear to work, wear out’ apparel and accessories, and we can’t wait to hear what our customers think.”
The debut collection, which will arrive in stores in August, will include 17 styles retailing from $49 to $199. It will feature anything from casual styles including a flat sandal, to dressier shoes such as a peep toe heel, to boots and everything in between. The collection, given the diverse clientele from Macy’s will have something for everyone.
To celebrate the new offerings, Bar III, hosted a fun soiree last week at Milk Studios. The event featured live performances from MisterWives and Lily Lane, and music by DJ Harley Viera-Newton. In addition to the performers other notable attendees included Chelsea Leyland, Fiona Byrne, Julie Henderson, Mickey Boardman and Tennessee Thomas.
