What’s Happening In Hamptons This Weekend (July 18-20)
Sound Waves, the highly anticipated summer music and fashion series that successfully debuted last year, and is returning this year on July 19th at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. Kicking off the series with an exclusive DJ performance by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, and a fashion presentation and appearance by designer Charlotte Ronson, Sound Waves @ The Beach will bring 7 weeks of high energy DJ and musical performances and high-end fashion, with their partners Cointreau, The Daily, Heineken, Perrier and UrbanDaddy. Artist Ben Moon custom painted a collector’s car to raise money for Wounded Warriors. The artist was selected to paint his signature white and black designs onto the exterior of a 1985 Rolls Royce “silver spur.” The car made its debut at the “Mash – Up Society” event just last week in East Hampton. The car will make an appearance at the soldier ride this Saturday, July 19th, beginning at 551 Montauk Highway at 8:30 am. The soldier ride aims to use cycling and the bonds of service to overcome physical, mental or emotional wounds. Saturday’s solider ride is dedicated to Lance Corporal Jordan C. Haerter, who was killed in action in iraq at the age of 19. RSVP required.
