Sobe: Hosts An INDOOR Drive-In Movie Theater
Sobe Lifewater hosts its second Summer Friday at the Stephen Weiss Studio (711 Greenwich St.), which is one of my favorite event spaces. This Friday’s theme was: an indoor drive-in movie theater. Guests were treated to Spike Lee’s new movie “Passing Strange” before it hit the theaters complete with truffle oil popcorn, Lucky us! Even better for me, I was able actually enjoy the movie in one of the four cars in the studio while the rest of guests stood there enviously enjoying my spot but I didn’t move. GO me.
Let me say this again: Sobe created an indoor drive-in movie theater. When I saw the flier, I didn’t think it was possible to create such a fete but Sobe did it amazingly well. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a nice summer afternoon. So I went, lounged around, and chilled with friends, drank Sobe – my favorite is agave lemonade – strawberry pomegranate is cool too, yum. After I had my fill of the Sobe lifewater, I decided it was time to drink one of the many specialty Ciroc-Vodka infused drinks. They too were pretty good.
I got mani-pedi and a massage. The food was catered by Lure. Let me tell you the food was delicious. The devil eggs: AMAZING! I had such a great time that I honestly spend my entire day there, I am not even kidding. I decide I was a Sobe girl for life.
Why am I sobe girl for life? Here’s Why:
1) Indoor Movie theater, what what
2) Great food
3) Spa Treatments
4) The SOBE mascot can really get down. Seriously, he had a crowd watching him dance for most of the events. Moonwalk and all.
5) DJ MOS and DJ RUCKUS spinning their best tunes – which like the Sobe mascot, had me dancing. That is when I wasn’t eating, getting spa treatments, lounging or drinking. You get the IDEA.
6) I really will purchase Sobe, all I can think about is Sobe Agave Lemonade.
For the next couple of Fridays(ends on 8/7) Sobe will have an event with a different theme. So be on the lookout for this Friday’s event. I can’t wait to hear the theme of the next one and of course partake on the festivities. You should too.
