Does Samsung’s Galaxy S III Phone Live Up to the Hype? We Think It Does.
There’s a lot hype and buzz surrounding Samsung’s Galaxy S III, so much so that Apple asked a court in California for a preliminary injunction to prevent Samsung from selling the Phone. “Samsung believes Apple’s request is without merit,” read a release from the South Korean electronics company and continued with its planned release of the phone. After testing the phone, which is available at AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular, we certainly think the hype is well warranted.
Why we do love this new phone? For starters, the Galaxy S III, is incredible fast with a very friendly interface. In one swipe one can easily capture an image of the screen and easily transfer data between devices with the S Beam feature (now this is a plus if uploading large files). The phone is also loaded with fun apps, including FlipBoard (which offers the ability to view news in a more interactive way), and of course Samsung proprietary software. Photo people will LOVE the 8 Megapixel camera and the slew of handy features including the Burst Shot. Said feature easily captures 20 shots in seconds and when paired with Best Shot one can easily skip the process of selecting the best one as the feature does it for you.
What’s more Galaxy S III has an impressive battery life. It can last a full 24 hours with minor usage and about 12 hours with heavy usage (we are talking taking lots of pictures, heavy social media usage, and email). Now, there’s the weight, the phone though a bit large, is super lightweight; in fact we found lighter than the HTC sensation which is slightly smaller.
Overall, we think this phone might a serious contender to beat Apple’s iPhone. The phone is already available for sale in either a 16GB version or 32GB version.
