NE-YO, Bill and Giuliana Rancic, and Wendy Williams Celebrate National PDA Day
One thing we’ve learned as of late: there’s a day to celebrate just about anything. This Wednesday, as it turns out was National Public Display of Affection Day (National PDA Day) and to celebrate the occasion Nivea held a massive bash in Herald Square. “We think people should pledge to be more connected with their loved ones, to hug more, to kiss more, to touch more, which is toward the essence of the brand. With today being June 20, the first day of summer and the longest day of the year, it is the perfect platform for us to say, ‘Let’s get out and publically display our affection for our loved ones and have a good time together,” explained Magnus Jonsson, VP marketing for Beiersdorf (Nivea), to Drug Store News.
Guests were invited to publicity show affection for loved ones. With radio/tv personality Wendy Williams playing MC for the event, attendees also enjoyed a performance from Grammy Award winning artist NE-YO and heard stories from Bill and Giuliana Rancic (the duo talked about their efforts to maintain a romantic bond) and played games (yes there was a spin the bottle booth) for prizes.
