Baume & Mercier To Release Some Fancy Watches for the Ladies Who Lunch (and We Want)

While I don’t often wear watches, luxury timepieces really pique my interest. There’s something so pretty about them. So naturally, I was thrilled when I was invited the Baume & Mercier unveiling for the new Promesse collection.

The new collection of 14 pieces, is the first one in almost a decade offering exclusively pieces for women. The Promesse collection pieces features two case sizes (30-mm diameter and 34-mm diameter), and contains models with both Swiss quartz and mechanical automatic movements with Roman numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. Accents include an oval bezel, finished in either of mother of pearl or diamonds. And each is visually stunning. The watches, which were showcased by Mad Men star Jessica Paré (she wore Promesse #10160), are not available for purchase till September but when they hit stores will start at $1,900.  Look for them at specialty retailers.
