Socially Conscious Savage Senses Previews Raw Materials Line
Two scantily clad models lounged on a bed dressed in pristine white linens, an alluring welcome to the Savage Senses Raw Materials cocktail hour at Environment Furniture earlier this week. Beautiful hand-dyed pieces make up a wonderfully earthy collection filled with gentle fleeces, washed linens, smooth silks, and braided leather. We were particularly impressed by the hand dipped oversized linen scarves accented in soft whites, olives, and vivid ocean blues. Accessories made from recycled and reclaimed materials accented the collection exquisitely.
Guests mingled sipping on prosecco, and founders, Gary Nelson and Waldo Tejada greeted guests. DJ Cory Kennedy spun some hip tunes to set the mood, and word of the cocktail hour slowly got around the neighborhood, as a few enthusiastic stragglers crashed the party to take a peek.
Savage Senses’ socially responsible business practices make the collection that much more appealing. Collaboration with skillful artisans and small business owners throughout the world allow for products that emphasize the raw and primitive beauty inspired by nature and hand made goods. Items are limited edition, with 10% percent of all retail sales going to Doc Hendley’s Wine to Water Charity and other clean water initiatives. How awesome is that?
