Sipping Cointreau at Le Jardin de Bijoux
Cointreau teamed up with Danielle and Jodie Snyder of Dannijo to kick off the summer with an elegant soiree at Cedar Lake. Coined ‘Le Jardin de Bijoux,’ this elegant affair was inspired by the colors of Dannijo jewels in a romantic summer garden party complete with a plethora of delicious cocktails and elegant snack pairings! We were overwhelmed by the tasty choices, and we surely wanted to try a sip or bite of each of the delectable flavors available.
We caught up with Countreau’s oh so fly New York brand ambassador Stilo Pimentel to talk Cointreau and cocktails.
“I love making drinks, especially ones that can be made so easily by yourself at home.”
What inspires Stilo’s cocktail creations?
“Seasonal ingredients for sure. Picking the seasonal ingredients and muddling and getting all the ingredients involved is always a lot of fun.”
You may wonder what seasonal ingredients Cointreau had in store? Among them included fresh lavender, strawberries, blackberries, limes and even peppers for the adventurous cocktail enthusiast who wanted a bit of savory in their glass. A cocktail station where party-goers could create their own signature cocktails transformed ordinary cocktail enthusiasts into artists. We liked the lavender, strawberry, blueberry combination with a twist of lime. Delish!
Celebrity guests included Selenis Leyva of Orange is the New Black, TV personality/stylist Stacy London and DJ/designer Timo Weiland. We caught up with Selenis Leyva and asked her about how she achieved personal success as an actress:
“It took a lot of people saying no to me continuously and me not listening. Every time someone said no, I felt the need to prove them wrong. It wasn’t easy…Never lose sight of your dreams.”
