Persol Latest Fête Left Us Amazed
Thanks to Persol, last week, we had the most amazing serendipitous moment. Here’s how it went down: after a busy night navigating the city between various appointments (read: parties) we found ourselves in the Cooper Square area facing a long train ride to Astoria, Queens so that we could attend the Persol Magnificent Obsessions: 30 Stories of Craftsmanship in Film exhibition and party. Then it happened a woman holding a Persol sign unexpectedly “appeared” directing us to a chartered coach. The bus then charioted us to Queens in style. The surprises didn’t stop there. The moment we arrived at the Museum of The Moving Image, where the party was held, we knew were in for a treat.
The paps, it seemed, had found a desirable subject; but just who was the object of the attention wasn’t immediately clear and then we saw: Zoe Saldana. Wearing cropped emerald pants (from Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2012 collection), sparkly top, slicked back hair, accessorized with persol sunnies, the Dominican beauty smiled for the lensmen and then headed to the party. Inside Saldana was joined by the likes of Dianna Agron, Abbie Cornish, Cory Kennedy, and Jaime King, and other invited guest who danced to DJ sets from Twin Shadows, and a plaid loving Terry Richardson.
Additionally, guest took a gander through the works of art speciality curated by Michael Connor for this Persol exhibit, the second installment with a third scheduled. If you get a chance DON’T miss it because there’s a really neat installation involving moving contractions, pictures, and lights.
The exhibition will run through August 15.
