Camilla Belle Launches “A Matter of Altitude”
In a cool summer evening oenophiles gathered at Brooklyn’s Mettā restaurant for a special dinner hosted by actress Camilla Belle. The beauty was in town to celebrate the launch of Doña Paula Wines’ new campaign–A Matter of Altitude. As the name implies, the campaign celebrates vibrancy, energy and yes brilliant wines. As you would expect, Belle is prominently featured in the new digital promo– which was shot in the company’s estate-along with Argentine Chef Fernando Trocca. The campaign was showcased during the dinner which was prepared by Chef Trocca and featured a delicious assortment of food (lamb tongue and more classic dishes like hand-cut beef empanadas), prepared on site using an open wood-burning fire. Yes, naturally each course was paired with a wine from Doña Paula Wines. In addition to the selection of wines, guests were treated to a special rosé cocktail crafted by mixologist Karlos Hernandez incorporating the newly released Doña Paula 2018 Rosé of Malbec. The cocktail was a fusion of Camilla Belle’s Brazilian culture and Doña Paula’s high altitude wines, designed to celebrate South American cuisine, culture, and history.
The wines are crafted in the company’s estate vineyards where the altitude ranges from 3,200 – 5,600 feet above sea level. These high altitude growing conditions provide the vineyards with concentrated sunlight, dramatic temperature swings, and pure Andean snowmelt for irrigation; factors that produce distinctly concentrated and flavorful wines. The retail from $12.99 to $50.
