TGIF Cocktail Recipe of Day: New Take on Ice Beverages
A good cocktail doesn’t have uninspired or boring. To show we mean business, we’ve curated 10 frozen (and delicious) cocktails to celebrate the warmer weather that has finally greeted us. These are not your typical spiked drinks.
Chandon with Floral Ice Cubes
Directions: Pick your favorite edible flowers and scatter in an ice tray. Pour water in ice tray and let freeze. Once frozen, place cubes in a glass and top with Chandon Brut Classic.
6 Cups of Water
2 Cups of Strong Tea (recipe follows)
2 Cups of Four Roses Bourbon- Yellow Label
1 Cup of Sugar
One 6-ounce container frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
One 12-ounce container frozen lemon juice concentrate, thawed
Garnish: Mint springs or Lemon slices (optional)
Combine the water, tea, bourbon, sugar, orange and lemon juice concentrate in large container or bowl and mix until sugar dissolves. Pour into two gallon-size freezer bags. Freeze until an hour before serving. Place the frozen punch in a large bowl and let thaw, breaking up every 15 minutes. When punch is melted add more ice or water as desired. Serve in punch cups. Garnish, if desired.
Boil the water. Add the tea bag[s] and let steep until cool.
Discard the tea bag[s] and set aside.
Bourbon Tarragon Cooler

2 parts serrano-infused Maker's Mark® Bourbon*
1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 part agave syrup
1 cup ice
4 sprigs tarragon
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until the ice is pureed. Serve immediately.
*Serrano-infused Maker's Mark® Bourbon
2 cups Maker's Mark® Bourbon
1 piece serrano pepper, cut in half and deseeded
Combine the pepper and Maker's Mark® Bourbon in an airtight container and allow it to macerate for at least 2 days. Store in the fridge and shake container gently twice a day.
1 oz. Lucid Absinthe
1 oz. rum
4 oz. piña colada mix
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 ounce melon liqueur
Pineapple for garnish
Directions: In a blender add Lucid Absinthe, rum, piña colada mix, pineapple juice and ice. Blend until smooth. Pour the frozen mix in a tall glass and float the melon liqueur on top. Garnish with pineapple.
1/2oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
1oz Fresh Lime Juice
3/4oz Simple Syrup
*Triple sec, lime juice and simple syrup can be substituted for sour mix
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a blender with 4-6oz of ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into a margarita glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
Save the WOODbridge by Robert Mondavi
*Makes four servings
3 cups Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio
¾ cup frozen limeade concentrate
½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
3 cups ice
Lime wedges, to garnish
Salt, to garnish
Directions: Combine Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio, limeade and orange juice in blender. Slowly add ice until all ingredients are well-combined. Pour into 4 salt-rimmed glasses, and garnish with lime wedge (optional)
SMIRNOFF Strawberry Swirl
1.5 oz. SMIRNOFF Strawberry
4 oz. Ice
Glassware: Martini Glass
Directions: Add ice to blender with Smirnoff Strawberry Flavored Vodka and strawberries. Blend well and serve in a martini glass.
SVEDKA's MMM Mango
2 parts SVEDKA Mango Pineapple
1 part Pina Colada mix
Directions: Pour SVEDKA Mango Pineapple and Pina Colada mix into a blender filled with ice. Blend until smooth and pour into a hurricane glass, garnish with mango slices.
4 parts Sauza® Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
2 parts JDK & Sons™ O3 Premium Orange Liqueur
3 cups seedless watermelon, chilled and cut into pieces
½ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
1 cup ice
Direction: Freeze cubed watermelon in a plastic bag for a minimum of 2 hours. Add all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Serve in glasses rimmed with salt and garnish with a lime or watermelon wedge. Salud!
White Wine Slush
1 part Skinnygirl Prosecco
1 part light rum
2 parts frozen lemonade
1 part seltzer
Direction: Blend with a little crushed ice and pour into a flute glass.
