Carey Mulligan, Leonardo DiCaprio Glitz and Get Glam for The Great Gatsby After Party
Vintage glamour and glitz lined The Plaza Hotel in the after party for the New York City premier of The Great Gatsby. The elaborately decorated ball room had been transformed by director, Baz Luhrmann, into the iconic mansion seen in the film. Moët & Chandon flowed among over 700 giddy guests mingling among stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, who arrived with three bodyguards, Jay-Z, and Tobey Macguire.
A Moët champagne tower stood just outside of the elevator entrance, transporting guests into the 1920’s scene upon arrival. Carey Mulligan and Jake Gyllenhaal arrived together along with Carey’s husband, Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons). A procession of Moët & Chandon champagne bottles adorned with sparklers thrilled the crowd as flappers danced through the crowd and even on the bar to DJ Cassidy spinning tunes.
