Hot! Gallery Get Your Drink On: Earth Day Inspired Cocktail Recipes

Looking for an easy way to get on the Earth Day spirit? How about with some refreshing cocktails? Okay, I know what you’re thinking–not the green solution you were looking or perhaps not the best way to show you support green initiatives. However, we should note that sustainable spirits (those produce using organic materials and the likes) are not only better for the environment but as a whole have a stronger and richer flavor profile. Not a bad way to support mother nature if you asks us.

Harvest Basil Lemonade

Azoteas Verdes Margarita
2 parts Milagro Reposado Tequila
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
0.75 parts Agave Nectar
2 strips of green Bell Peppers
1 D'Avignon Radish
1/5 Kale Leaf

Directions: Combine the pepper, radish and kale leaf in the mixing glass of a Boston shaker and muddle. Add remaining ingredients and ice and shake vigorously. Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass and garnish with a kale leaf and lime wheel.

Go Green

1 oz. Lucid Absinthe
2 oz. fresh pear juice (or pear nectar)
½ oz. simple syrup (or agave nectar)
½ oz. lemon juice
handful of sliced cucumber

Directions: In a cocktail shaker, add ice, Lucid Absinthe, pear juice, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Shake vigorously
and strain over ice in a rocks glass, add cucumber wedges for garnish.

Lemons+U
2 oz. Ultimat Vodka
1 Small Lemon
1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
2 oz. Coconut Water
3/4 oz. Honey
Garnish: Lemon Wheel

Directions: Slice lemon in half. Slice each half into four pieces. Add honey. Lightly muddle* together. Add Ultimat Vodka, Coconut water and Lemon Juice. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain through a fine strainer into a Highball glass filled with a fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Mankind Mojito

4 parts Blueberry LeSUTRA Sparkling Liqueur
40 ml premium rum
3 fresh muddled mint leaves
2 teaspoons of sugar
30 ml lime juice
splash of soda water
6 blueberries and a mint leaf, served chilled in a highball glass

Coco Cloud

2 oz. Vita Coco Coconut Water with Pineapple
1 oz. Avión Silver Tequila
3/4 oz. fresh orange juice
Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer (diet or regular)
Garnish: orange half wheel or peel

Directions: Build ingredients directly into a tall glass with ice and stir briefly.

Cali Ginger
2 oz Caliche Rum
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¾ oz Agave Nectar
Top with Ginger Beer

Directions: Combine all ingredients, except ginger beer,in a shaker filled with ice, shake vigorously until well chilled. Strain into an ice filled highball glass and top with ginger beer.

Sustainable Mango Passion Soda
(Mango Passion & Tonic – Signature Serve)
50 ml Belvedere Mango Passion
Top Fever Tree Tonic

Directions: Build drink over ice in a highball glass. Garnish with a slice of mango and a wedge of lime.

Pommes et Raisins [ Apples & Grapes }
2 oz Courvoisier VS
.75 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
.5 oz Mint Syrup

Directions: Shaken and Strained into a Pilsner. Topped with hard cider beer. Garnished with Frozen White Grapes

Basil Delight
1 ½ parts Skinnygirl™ Cucumber Vodka
1 lime wedge
2 large basil leaves
3 parts soda water
2 large mint leaves

Directions: Squeeze lime wedge into glass. Muddle lime wedge with mint, basil and vodka. Add ice. Top with soda water. Garnish with mint leaves.

Harvest Basil Lemonade 2 parts American Harvest 4-5 parts fresh or organic lemonade 3 fresh basil leaves 2 slices of lemon Directions: Muddle basil and lemons in a tall glass. Add ice and American Harvest and top with lemonade. Garnish with lemon wheels and basil leaves.

4-5 parts fresh or organic lemonade
3 fresh basil leaves
2 slices of lemon

Directions: Muddle basil and lemons in a tall glass. Add ice and American Harvest and top with lemonade. Garnish with lemon wheels and basil leaves.
