Pamella Roland Showcases Her New Lower Priced Line at Lord and Taylor
Its no secret that designers, like major corporations are always looking for new and creative ways to expand their business. The latest to do so is designer Pamella Roland. The designer recently joined photographer/host of Oxygen’s The Face Nigel Barker and Stephanie Solomon Lord & Taylor’s vice president and fashion director of women’s ready-to-wear for a party celebrating the launch of her new collection.
The Pamella Pamella Roland collection of cocktails dresses features signature and vintage silhouettes updated to reflect current trends. “We had so many archives of these great dresses, and for a designer, you have to come up with something new all the time,” Roland tells the Examiner. “We did our research and found out what was missing was really this price point of cocktail dresses and gowns. So as we got into it, it was really easier than I thought it would be. I’m really a snob when it comes to fabric, and we were able to find some really beautiful fabrics. We have the Pamella Roland look; it’s just the price point that’s lower.”
The new collection of dresses are currently available at Lord & Taylor and Neinam Marcus and cap off at $1,300.
