Preview Pics: New York International Auto Show 2015
On Thursday night, car enthusiasts, finance buffs, and stylish socialites gathered over cocktails and light bites at the Jacob Javits Center for the 16th Annual Gala Preview of the 2015 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), hosted by East Side House Settlement, which offered them a private viewing of the entire auto show. Highlights from the evening included a display of several 2016 Porsche models provided by Manhattan Motorcars and a live auction on an all-new 2016 Porsche Grand Cayman GT4. The Gala Preview was chaired by Philip L. Yang, Joan P. Young, and Chris LaSusa, with Fe Fendi, Morgan Shara, and Mariana Zois chairing the Benefit Committee.
We were honored to attend and bask in the inspiring ambiance of concept cars, limited editions, and the newest models to come. Of note: we oogled at the limited edition Ermenegildo Zegna model for Maserati to come in 2016 (a continuation of the designer’s partnership with Maserati – all of Maserati’s reps who work the floor at NYIAS are outfitted in slick Zegna suits), “fangirled” over the beauty that is the Bugatti on display (who wouldn’t), and we couldn’t help but notice how much Marsala as the color of the year was seen on the floor. Certainly, the showcase offered various tiers of models from the most luxurious “Bond” cars to the latest and greatest in energy-efficient hybrids, to accessible SUVs. You’ll see what we mean when you peek our pictures below!
The public show began yesterday and will run through April 12 (mark your calendars to visit!). Check out the official NYIAS website for more details on the show.
