This Year East Side House Settlement Raised $500,000 at their Annual Gala Preview
The Auto Show is getting bigger and bigger and that bodes well for the East Side House Settlement (ESH) , a social service agency in the South Bronx created to offer denizens with high quality educational services that offer the opportunity to earn a degree and other valuable life skills. This year the charitable program hosted its 17th Annual Gala Preview and in the process raised $500,000. The money was raised by some good old bidding via a live auction. Items that piqued interest included a hotly-anticipated 2017 Jaguar F-PACE First Edition, the special model created to celebrate the launch of the brand’s first performance SUV, dinner for four at famed New York institution Rao’s; a three-night stay at Blackberry Farms; a VIP experience in a private Mets Skybox at Citi Field; and an exclusive golfouting at Jasna Polana. The funds raised will continue to support ESH initiatives.
The Gala Preview which was held last week, like in the past started with a cocktail reception followed by a VIP dinner. This year the event saw over 1,300 guests in attendance who enjoyed craft cocktails from STK, cachaca from Yaguara and tunes from DJ Gaspas Muniz. The guests in attendance included Omar Miller, Chuck Scarborough, Mariana Zois, Lisa Yom, Claudio & Debra Del Vecchio, Chris & Jennifer LaSusa, Phil & Maria Yang, Joan P. Young, Chris Marchand, Lacary Sharpe, Geoffrey Bradfield, and Mark Schienberg.
