Hot! BootCamp 101 with Lady Foot Locker

It’s no secret that working out is not my idea of fun. I prefer to sit at home and indulge on red-velvet cake or maybe a facial. However, it seems the universe has other plans for me because I am getting fit.

My friend, Danielle, of The Style & Beauty Doctor, recently invited me to join her at a special class from Lady Foot Locker and try the  latest sneaker from New Balance the – NB Minimus Zero, a super lightweight sneaker that feels like you are walking on clouds.

The 30-minute class, which was held at Warrier Fitness Bootcamp, was led by celebrity Trainer Harley Pasternak. The gym buff,  who hosts ABC’s The Revolution and has helped sculpts the bodies of celebs like Halle Berry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, guided us through his 5 Factor Workout.  The intense regime gets the heart rate up, works your legs and abs, and makes you feel so good.  I also moved my body in ways I didn’t know were possible.  Thank you Lady Foot Locker.

And, for those interested here is a run down of the class via Freckles & Spice

Cardio:

  • Several Minutes of running with increasing speed
  • 1 minute side shuffles, grapevines, and backwards running were mixed in

Lower Body

  • Walking Lunges, first 2 times through circuit (2-3 times around track)
  • 50 Jump Squats, last time through

Upper Body

  • 50 Bicep curl into overhead press (we used Harley Bar, but can be done with any weights, or anything at home water bottles, broom, etc)

Core:

  • Planks (all three sets)
  • Mountain climbers (only in last set)

Cardio:

  • Several Minutes of running with increasing speed
  • 1 minute side shuffles, grapevines, and backwards running
