Tiffany & Co. Celebrates 175th Anniversary… with New a Metal
This past Thursday, Tiffany & Co.’s Fifth Avenue 8,400 square foot store was buzzing with activity as a slew of stylish tastemakers gathered for the “unveiling” of the Cinemagraphs, which were designed for the newly launched RUBEDO™ Metal collection.
As music from DJ Kiss comfortably played in the background, and as food was passed around and bubbly was overflowing, revelers buzzed about the RUBEDO™ Metal collection.
The brand-new “lightweight yet strong” metal was created to celebrate the renowned jeweler 175th anniversary. And, as “the first such creation in Tiffany’s history, it takes its place among the most beautiful metals in the world,” explained the release; “[it] marries the richness of gold, the brilliance of silver and the warmth of copper.” The combination creates a metal that is decidedly Tiffany’s — basically stunning.
The cinemagraphs — still photographs with minor and repeated movement giving an illusion of watching a video — were designed by famed photo bloggers (of From me To You) Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg.
