PIPER-HEIDSIECK Fêtes The Oscars in NYC & it Was Magical. Find Out Why…
Hopefully, by now you’re aware that every so often we are invited to observe how the 1% does an evening out in the town. Often these experiences involved elaborate celebrations (READ: expensive), top-notch food, glitzy dressed notables, gratuitous consumption of champagne and rubbing elbows with true Blue Bloods. As observers (and members of the 99%) we are often relegated to the fringes of the festivities. This however changed when PIPER-HEIDSIECK, the exclusive champagne of The Academy Awards, invited us to a black tie dinner in celebration of Hollywood’s biggest night. While, the soirée wasn’t held in Los Angeles, it was equally as glamorous.
Held at The Bowery Hotel, the fancy dinner gathered a rarefied group of influencers across many fields including media, hospitality and the arts. The lavishly decorated venue included creative touches from the luxury champagne company. For instance, tables were set with the best china and they were adorned with festive clapperboards featuring whimsical sayings to remind guests of PIPER-HEIDSIECK’s partnership with the Oscars.
As winners claimed awards for their performances in Los Angeles, we were treated to a three course dinner along and a speech from Romain Pianet, the Senior Brand Director for PIPER-HEIDSIECK & Charles Heidsieck. As the courses arrived and during breaks, Mr. Pianet shared interesting stories detailing the brands involvement with the Oscars and shared humorous stories involving famous fans PIPER-HEIDSIECK. Additionally, Piantet also chatted about the brands vintages as they were offered during the dinner and they were marvelous. During the evening we “popped” the PIPER-HEIDSIECK Brut, the Rare Millésime 2002, and closed the evening the Rosé Sauvage. It was as you would imagine a memorable evening. And, as it was a night to celebrate the Oscars, we were invited to pick winners for a chance to win a special bottle from PIPER-HEIDSIECK.
Take a look at some images from the evening.
