French Brasserie Beaumarchais Celebrates First Anniversary
Last night we had the pleasure of attending the first anniversary celebration of the French brasserie Beaumarchais in the Meatpacking District. This gorgeous space boasts soft mood lighting, crisp linens, and evocative contemporary wall art. A robust bar with an impressive wine and cocktail menu made this open bar cocktail party a real treat.
A favorite cocktail of the night was the La Rose Framboise: a refreshing mix of raspberry eau-de-vie, Chambord, raspberry puree, grenadine, and peach liquor, topped with Moet and Chandon Champagne. Yum! Not only is the atmosphere lovely, and the cocktails delightful, but the provincial menu is superb as well. You can thank Executive Chef, David E. Diaz in part for a fine French dining experience with Perisian charm. With French dishes that include elegant cheeses, delicate salads, and several courses of fishes, fine cuts of lamb, and delicately seasoned duck and chicken, any patron is sure to find a enticing dish that is delectable and satisfying.
In addition to the open bar, guests including Kelly Rutherford and Chaske Spencer were treated to a special performance by The Love Show, an avante garde musical group with cabaret and dance appeal. Beaumarchais regularly treats patrons to burlesque and cabaret acts such as The Love Show, a group that complimented the atmosphere perfectly. All in all, Beaumarchais did an excellent job blending the art of drinks, food, atmosphere, and entertainment to create a perfectly wonderful French evening.
