Hot! Gallery Our Favorite Beauty Trends from #NYFW Fall 2013

In this season of New York Fashion Week, we noticed things came in unusual pairs: winter storm Nemo + New York Fashion Week, snow (more like ice) + stilettos at Lincoln Center, and dramatic hair + heavily made up eyes. We took these last two focal points and gathered up a list showcasing our favorite beauty trends straight from the runway. What you’ll see: super sleek hair, daring braids, inventive twists on thick, black eyeliner, and a penchant for blue (…ish).

On the hair front, Honor Fall 2013 showcased an updo that was sleek and added a playful design in the form of cornrows.

Jason Wu Fall 2013 was one of our all-around favorites from the hair to the makeup (which you'll see later in this gallery). The ladies in his lineup all donned futuristic, slick updos created by Odile Gilbert.

Alexander Wang Fall 2013 opted out of the deep side part trend we saw included with many other collections, but instead decided to go with a simple, tight ponytail with lots of shine. Where the edge to the look obviously came in was with the hairpiece and fiery color.

We gave you the lowdown on how to recreate the modern look (thanks to the vision of Odile Gilbert yet again) of Monique Lhuillier RTW Fall 2013, but we couldn't help but feature it again. This 'do featured an extreme side part, lots of shine, and inventive detailing by wrapping the hair in suede ribbon.

And we move to allowing the models to let their hair down - literally. The ladies of Rodarte Fall 2013's show donned sexy, playful braids nestled in the center of messy waves.

Over at Alice + Olivia Fall 2013, braids were also spotted, but hair was pulled into an updo that used the braid detailing as a kind of princess crown.

It was all about the (cat)eye at Anna Sui Fall 2013, where a thick line on top of the eyelid was contrasted with a mischievous, dotted line under the eye.

Val Garland for MAC Cosmetics created the broken line featured at Monique Lhuillier RTW Fall 2013. It looked dramatic and contemporary on the runway, but would you try this look at home?

We saw both dramatic eyeliner (a more classic cateye) and slicked back hair at Chado Ralph Rucci Fall 2013 too.

Aside from this model's bizarre hair, we thought the look at Thakoon Fall 2013 was just divine. A high-pigment blue was swept across the eyelid and finished off with a gold glitter accent - a look that we thought did blue(ish) eye makeup true justice.

Another one of our designer repeats in this gallery - we mentioned that you'd see Jason Wu Fall 2013 again. The designer was very particular about the eyeshadow color for his showing, and we thought the blue-ish shade - the custom mixed indigo, rather - added a lovely femininity to the modern, pulled-back hair.

Pretty blue also lined the eyes of the ladies of Honor Fall 2013 in a way that seemed both wearable off the runway and easy to recreate at home. How about trying this on for your next night out?
