#NYFW Backstage Beauty Report: Brandon Sun
Boho chic, indeed. For the presentation of his Fall 2013 collection designer Brandon Sun, worked with Zahir Zian, National Creative Director and Master Stylist for Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa to create a carefree and messy bun that was accentuated with makeup (including dark eyes) from the beauty team. Overall the look was dramatic and mysterious but playful. If you love the look. We’ve got the details on how to create the look at home. And, luckily, it doesn’t involve a lot of products.
To create the messy bun hairstylist Zahir Zian exclusively used Resistance Double Force by Kerastase. He worked the product on dry hair. He used the product to firm the hair and give it that tousled look. Once he finished doing that, Zian, parted hair in the middle. Carefully focusing on creating volume at the crown of the head. So the hair could then be synched into a low bun to one side of the neck. And, with that hair was complete. Easy right?
To complete the look, the beauty experts from Red Door Spa created dark and bold brows paired with dewey skin and a matte lip. To create the look start with Elizabeth Arden’s Pure Finish Mineral Tinted Moisturizer. Apply to the face. This helps gives the skin a natural glow. Once finished, the team created the dramatic eyes. They did so with the help of Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Shimmering Copper, Bellini and Truffle. The combination created an effortless bohemian eye and complete the looks with the cheer rosy cheeks the beauty team used along with Ceramide Cream Blush in Pink for a sheer rosy cheek. To complete the look, Ceramide Ulta Lipstick in Cameo gives lips moisturizing and lasting color.
