TGIF Cocktail Recipe of the Day: Fancy Oscar Cocktail Recipes
Whether you’re really excited to see if your favorite movie won an award or whether you’re like me completely clueless about the movies nominated but still tuning to see actors laud their achievements, a cocktail is always a good idea. Here are some festive cocktail for every type of person for a fun soiree.
SVEDKA's Early Arrival
2 parts SVEDKA Orange Cream Pop
1 part heavy cream (or milk)
Splash orange juice
Directions: Pour SVEDKA Orange Cream Pop and cream into a shaker filled with ice. Add a splash of juice. Shake vigorously. Pour into a rocks glass. Top with orange zest.
Hennessy Berry Deluxe
1.5 oz Hennessy VS
.5 oz Lemon juice
.25 oz Pomegranate Grenadine
.5 oz Raspberry puree
.5 oz pineapple juice
3 oz Moet Chandon imperial Brut
Garnish: Raspberry and Lemon twist
Glass: White wine glass
Directions: add all ingredients except champagne to the mixing tin with ice and shake until chilled, strain into a wine glass and top with champagne, garnish with lemon twist and raspberry.
Kim Crawford's Golden Moonlight
2.5 oz Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc
1 oz SVEDKA Vanilla
1 tsp honey syrup (2:1 honey:water, mixed well)
1 dash Angostura bitters
2 tsp edible gold flake
Combine liquid ingredients and 1 tsp gold leaf with ice in a mixing glass.
Stir with ice and strain over fresh ice (large cube preferable) in a rocks glass.
Sprinkle remaining tsp of gold leaf decoratively over cocktail.
2 ¼ oz Bluecoat American Dry gin
½ oz dry vermouth
¼ oz blanc vermouth
Directions: Into a mixing glass, add Bluecoat, vermouths, and ice and stir for 30 seconds. Serve in chilled coupe or martini glass and garnish with orange peel.
The Lime Basil
2 Parts Absolut Lime
1 Part Fresh Lime
3-4 Large Basil Leaves
.75 Parts Simple Syrup
Directions: lightly muddle basil, add ingredients, shake, strain over fresh ice.
Killer in Red
3/4 oz. Campari
3/4 oz. Cinzano 1757 Bianco
1/2 oz. Grand Marnier
3/4 oz. Chamomile Gin
Drop of Rose Essence
Directions: Pour all the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice and stir with a bar spoon. Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe. Finish with a drop of rose essential oil and serve.
1 part Sauza® Gold Tequila
½ parts DeKuyper® Triple Sec Liqueur
2 parts orange juice
2 parts lime juice
2 parts agave nectar
Direction: Add all ingredients to an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain over ice into a salt-rimmed glass. Garnish with an orange wheel.
The Hollywood Hills

1.5 ounces Tanqueray No. TEN
.75 ounce lime juice
.75 ounce fresh pineapple juice
.5 ounce ginger syrup
.25 ounce simple syrup
5 mint leaves
Directions:Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and double strain into large coupe. Garnish with mint leaves
50 ml Grey Goose
35 ml Martini Rubino
15 ml fresh lemon juice
15 ml simple syrup
Splash of soda water
Directions: Add all ingredients (except sparkling water) with 1 ice cube into a cocktail shaker and shake. Serve in a highball glass over ice before topping with sparkling water. Pinch grapefruit zest to release the aromas over the top of the drink, then discard. Garnish with a grapefruit slice
La La Sparkler
1 parts Ménage à Trois Triple Berry Vodka
½ part Raspberry Puree
½ part Lemon juice
1 part Cranberry juice
½ part sugar cane
Lemon peel twist
Directons: Shaken and strained served up in champagne flute – champagne float; garnish with skewered raspberry and lemon peel.
