#NYFW Backstage Beauty: Milly Fall 2015
Earlier this week over at ArtBeam, we made our rounds through the backstage scene at Milly Fall 2015, sponsored by Beauty.com.
The skincare prep was one of the more extensive ones we saw this Fashion Week – which is awesome because it’s hard to have a good makeup look if skin is dehydrated or unclean. Jurlique products were used exclusively in the routine – including Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, Age-Defying Nourishing Cleansing Oil, Moisture Replenishing Day Cream, and Rose Love Balm to thoroughly moisturize and calm skin.
Romy Soleimani used Kevyn Aucoin for Beauty.com to create youthful, angelic beauty with an edge (thanks to eyes defined in black liner). Eyes were lined with Kevyn Aucoin The Eye Pencil Prematif in Basic Black, with the inner rim of eyes sporting Kevyn Aucoin Eye Definer Liner (coming to Beauty.com soon). As the last layer, Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Liquid Liner was then applied on top.
Lips were kept neutral and fresh with Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Lip Balm, and to add an extra glow to skin, Kevyn Aucoin The Lip Gloss in Beaugonia was used to highlight the cheekbones and inner eye area.
On hair, Recine for Beauty.com used PHYTO to create perhaps the quickest look this season – a minimalist center part with straight but textured hair. He worked PHYTO PROFESSIONAL Intense Volume Mousse and Phytolaque Soie Hairspray into dry hair, blow drying using his fingers to maintain texture. For the finish, Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream was applied. Recine described the look as gamine — just a touch of tomboy.
One coat of Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Lacquer in Mr. Right was swept across nails for a quick, shimmery touch.
