Venexiana partnered with Philip Pelusi and his team again this season in creating the “Coquette” hair for the Fall 2014 show. The braided crowns exuded demure, simple elegance representing “a spirit of the ages.” To get this haute look at home (perfect for your formal occasion!), Pelusi shares the following step-by-step using Tela Beauty Organics and P2 Performance X 2 Professional Products. His biggest tip: custom make your own faux hair piece. Here’s how:

#1: Take two sections of your hairpiece (you’ll find different lengths, colors, and textures to your liking at your local beauty supply store), twist, and secure at each end.

#2: Use Tela’s Composer to slick hair straight back into a ponytail.

#3: Place a twisted roll of faux hair like a headband behind the ears.

#4: Secure with pins and wrap around the ponytail.

#5: Divide the ponytail into two sections, twisting the first section.

#6: Proceed to wrap the twisted section and tuck it in on the left side of the ponytail and pin. Repeat this step with the remaining section of hair.

#7: Finish with Tela’s Reduce for smooth polish and hold.

Check out a sampling of photos that really show how the hairstyle worked with the collection.
