Katie Holmes & Charlotte Ronson Kicked off NY Fashion Week With a Fun Brunch
To kick off fashion week, JCPenney gathered a small group of editors to an intimate daytime brunch fit for a lady who lunches. Held in The Drawing Room at The New York Palace last Wednesay, the event helped to promote Disney’s soon to be released Cinderella and showcase new aspiring designers.
At the event students from the Fashion School at Kent State University were tasked to create a modern day Cinderella ensemble for a $5,000 scholarship. Looks ranged from a modern-day pantsuit (blue obviously), sparkly dresses and everything in between.
The looks created by the students were judged by Katie Holmes, JCPenney Style Voice Nina Garcia and JCPenney designer partner Charlotte Ronson. When it was over Jay Lewis walked away with the scholarship price money along with having the opportunity to have his piece produced by JCPenney and displayed at the retailer’s Manhattan Mall location.
