This Fashion Week Pop Up
Even if you’re not a part of the rarefied group of fashion insiders, you can experience fashion week like one all while learning about zero waste design. This fashion week The Gregory Hotel, along with CARAVAN style studio are teaming TABII, a Zero waste design company, to offer conscious consumers a one of a kind pop up shopping experience. The makeshift pop up will feature the design of TABII made with surplus fabric (yes they are beautiful). The designs are forgiven with loose silhouettes so every wearer can feel comfortable and carefree. What makes the pop up unique is that customers can stop during their lunch hour select a fabric, a style and have the item sewn for you by experts sewers to your measurements as you wait. What’s more excess not used on the design of the dress will be later turned into sachets and scarves. NYC Fashion M.A.D.E. also supports the collection, and will enroll a candidate from the factory where the collection will be produced in their educational program. Now that’s winning.
The pop up is open on February 10th and 11th at The Gregory Hotel (42 W 35th St), which is conveniently located in the fashion district.
