Hot! Bergdorf Goodman Celebrate Christian Louboutin 20th Anniversary With a Party

Christian Louboutin, shoe whisperer and maker of the iconic red-bottom heels whose designs evoke pure delight from shoe lovers, celebrated 20 years in business with a fabulous party this past Wednesday at NYC’s Bergdorf Goodman.

The theme for the soiree, which was held on the second floor of the swanky store, was glamorous, the decor brilliant and (obviously) red was the color of the evening. Red balloons and confetti covered the room as guests like Selita Ebanks, Wendy Williams, Michelle Harper, Patricia Field, Dani Stahl, Alexandra Lebenthal, Tinsley Mortimer, Marcia Mishaan and Linda Fargo who serves as Bergdorf Goodman Senior Vice President of Fashion Office and Store Presentation, sipped on Perrier-Jouet and boogied down in sky-high loubs to the tunes of DJ Daisy O’Dell. The evening also included a Happy Birthday serenade to Mr. Louboutin, from a Marilyn Monroe doppelgänger.

Now if you missed the celebration but want to experience beauty of his shoes–take a gander through the store to view the 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection. The capsule collection, which was unveiled at Bergdorf Goodman on January 31, features iconic themes from the past 20-years and designs from young alumni of the Parsons The New School for Design. The lucky designers were selected by Linda Fargo and Christian Louboutin himself. “I work with many young designers and I believe that it is in the order of natural things for a more mature designer to help a younger one. Thinking of my journey, I was helped in the beginning by people in a very nice way and this project with Parsons and Bergdorf Goodman is a way to give back and nurture a new generation of talent,” said Christian Louboutin on his decision to collaborate with Parsons and offer students the opportunity. The special capsule collection is on display until February 8, 2012.
