Where to View the Superbowl with Fancy People
Even if you’re not into sports, by now you’ve probably heard that Superbowl is happening this Sunday. If you’re in the market for single sports enthusiasts, here’s a quick rundown of venues hosting Superbowl parties.
JIMMY at The James NY (15 Thompson St.) Not an expected sports viewing venue but great looking nonetheless. It offers impeccable views of NYC in an intimate atmosphere. Jimmy also boasts large HDTVs, projection screens outside, comfortable luxurious seating in cool tones, so you can feel at home while at and about.
Sample dining options include: New England Lobster Roll with herbed Fries, Kung Pao Chicken Wings with Peanuts and Cilantro, Angry Potato Skins with Hudson valley sour cream and onion and cheddar bacon, Super Nachos with guajillo braised chicken thighs, black beans, Mosefund Farms Mangalitsa Pork and Cheddar Bratwurst with hot peppers and onions and served with herbed fries.
Cooper’s Craft & Kitchen (169 8th Avenue and 87 2nd Avenue)– Is offering special of CRAFT BEER BUCKETS with a brew called Molotov Lite from Evil Twin Brewing ($30 for 4; 1 for $8). Molotov Lite is a 16oz can brewed in Connecticut – it’s 8.5% double IPA made with orange puree and mango puree… and it’s ridiculously good! The beer is a understated tour de force in rebellious hoppiness, it’s a subtle spark for action and yet by far one of the most anti-authoritative beers ever made by Evil Twin Brewing.
Bounce Sporting Club–Bounce will kick-off with a Special Super Bounce Bites Menu which will include all of the Bounce classics such as the Fried Mac and Cheese Bites, Pigs in a Blanket and Buffalo WIngs. Sip on a New England Sour or Seattle Brew Crew in honor of the two teams vying for the Super Bowl title: Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots ($13 each). Win or lose, the party continues with VIP DJs such as Ani Quinn, Vitale and Austin Millz as well as go-go dancer, complimentary messages and a surprise performance that will be sure to have you dancing way past the fourth quarter. Who knows, you may even get to rub elbows with professional athletes, such as Jason Pierre Paul, Matt Harvey and Stevie Brown, and a-listers, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Gabrielle Union and Scott Disick. Leave Rochelle Out of It (205 Chrystie St.)– The festive venue is featuring Superbowl specials for everyone. Specials include a set with a Bucket of six Budweiser cans for just $20 or Stella Drafts for $6, Super Bowl sized whiskey wings for just $24. Additionally, unlike most bars, Rochelle’s sound will be ON for all to enjoy every cheer, referee call and bad-mouthing this game has to offer.
Sons of Essex (133 Essex Street)– Enjoy the Super Bowl viewing party this year with two for one pints and buckets of beer. Guests will also enjoy a special game day menu with dishes such as tater tots (with nacho cheese and bacon salt) for $10, wings (buffalo, curry, whiskey or bbq sauce) for $12, turkey chilli (5 bean, slow roasted tomato, cheddar, chives, corn bread) for $15.
Beauty & Essex (146 Essex St) The Super Bowl Party starts at 5:30pm. Guests will have the opportunity choice dining options from a special menu, as well of the classic favorites from Beauty & Essex and Stanton Social.
