Hot! Gallery Beauty Diary: A Lazy Girl’s Guide to Fabulous Hair with OGX

Happy Friday, lovelies! Today, I’m here to wholeheartedly admit that despite being a beauty blogger, doing my hair is not one of my stronger skills. On all days, I feel grateful for my full head of straight, long, black hair… and for most days, this means being lazy and leaving it as it is (seriously – just a quick brush through in the morning and I am out the door).

OGX swept me off my feet when I experienced the magic that is its Coconut Water collection, and now the brand is back not only to remind me of a hair routine even someone as lazy as me can conquer, but also to enlighten us with some amazing products new for 2015.

The brand has introduced three new intensely nourishing collections: Moisture + Vitamin B5, Healing + Vitamin E, and Hydrate + Repair Argan Oil of Morocco Extra Strength (not to be confused with the existing Argan Oil of Morocco collection). Like the names imply, these formulas are food–no– vitamins for hair.

Here are the latest beauty buys from OGX that I recommend to invest in — and my experience on how they pack a serious hair-repair punch.

OGX Healing + Vitamin E Shampoo and Conditioner

Especially now that it’s winter, this shampoo and conditioner duo works fabulously in maintaining the health of my hair. Even when I’m outside wearing a hat or headband, I somehow always find my hair flying in all sorts of directions and getting beat around by the cold wind.

When I don’t use any boosting products in my hair for a few days, it looks dull. This cleansing duo helps to restore vitality and heal heat and environmental damage. It’s also personally my favorite scent out of all the new products.

Why Vitamin E: Just like Vitamin E can be used on skin to provide intense moisture, it can do the same for hair. Use over time helps to restore nutrients in hair that are often washed away by other shampoo/conditioners.

$7.99 each at Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, ULTA, Drugstore.com, and Safeway.

OGX Moisture + Vitamin B5 Weightless Oil Mist

Got the frizzies? Hair looking a little dry? This trusty mist takes nutrient-rich Vitamin B5 and easily delivers it straight to the source of the problem you may be having. Even though the word “oil” is in the title, the formula is lightweight and doesn’t make hair greasy.

Why Vitamin B5: Vitamin B5 rebuilds weak lipids to improve the amount of moisture hair can retain. The more moisture it can keep = the healthier and better it will look.

My favorite way to use it is when hair is damp and definitely anytime before using a hairdryer or heated styling tool. By the time my hair is dry (either naturally or through use of a dryer), the mist has completely penetrated into the strands and my hair feels incredibly soft… softer than it’s ever been after drying it at home. What’s more: the results are long-lasting. Waking up the next day, hair feels just as good!

$7.99 at Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, ULTA, Drugstore.com, and Safeway.

OGX Hydrate + Repair Argan Oil of Morocco Extra Strength Miracle In-Shower Oil

If you decide to try the Shampoo and Conditioner, you’ll notice the formulas are very rich and markedly creamier than the other collection formulas. It says it in the name - this stuff is extra strength, meaning it’s designed for hair that’s been through the worst. Say bye to those split ends. This multi-tasking oil is conveniently great for both hair and skin. Since its formula is really concentrate, all you need is a few drops. If you’re finishing up your other shampoos or conditioners, feel free to add a few drops of this for extra hydration and be back on your way to silky, salon-perfect strands.

$8.99 at Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Duane Reade, and ULTA.

If the options from OGX (which are clearly abundant) are all tempting, let this quiz be your guide to what your hair is craving. For more information on the brand and its abundant collections targeting all hair needs, visit www.ogxbeauty.com.
