First Look: Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012

Here’s a first look at Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall collection. For this collection Wu, who saw his star rise after first Lady Michelle Obama whore his design to the Inauguration Ball in 2009, was inspired by Indian maharajas and the illustrations of modern artist Charley Harper. “Combining the two meant a strict silhouette with stately embellishments,” said Wu; the result is a refined set of wares with classic aesthetic.  The collection features a slew of pieces with mesmerizing details including hand-embroidery accents and intricate prints.  Highlights from Pre-Fall include a cream colored poncho with black lace applique, a printed dress which is sure to make a statement, and darling the evening dresses.
If this collection is any indication of what Wu’s collection will look like it – surely the collection will be amazing.
